Our partner the ARCNEM HAM Radio Club is offering a Free Amateur Radio Technician Class starting Sept 5th!
Ever wanted to talk to people across the globe using just a radio? This 7-week online course will equip you with the knowledge to get your Technician Class license and unlock the world of Ham Radio!
Once you earn your Technician Class license, you will have all ham radio privileges above 30 MHz (including the very popular 2-meter band) and enjoy using small hand-held radios to stay in touch with other hams in the area!
Technicians may also operate on some of the shortwave bands used for international communications. You can even make international radio contacts via satellites, using relatively simple station equipment.
